Australia's leading sports administrators have defended their anti-doping programs amid calls for more regular drug testing in the major football codes.World Anti-Doping Authority president John Fahey yesterday called on the NRL and AFL to adopt more stringent practices in the wake of the Australian Crime Commission's report.The executive director of the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports, Malcolm Speed, says Mr Fahey should make sure he is fully briefed before he questions the integrity of leading codes.Mr Speed, a former head of the International Cricket Council, said Mr Fahey's comment was unfair."The professional sports - they spend a lot of money, they do a lot of testing," he said.
